The Weeknd rocks sold-out Atlanta show, plays insane number of songs

A massive crowd packed Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Thursday night to check out one of the World’s biggest artists. The Weeknd was in town.

Abel Tesfaye, better known professionally as the Weeknd, brought his “After Hours Til Dawn” tour to town.

It marked the first time in three years that he played in Atlanta. In 2022, the opening leg of the same tour visited Atlanta. He has played all over North America, Europe, Latin America, and Australia since then.

The Weeknd opened the show with “The Abyss.” He followed that up with “Wake Me Up” and “After Hours” before belting out “Starboy” to the sold-out Atlanta crowd.

Twenty songs into the more than 40-song set, The Weeknd brought out Playboy Carti for “Timeless.” Playboy Carti served as one of the openers on the tour.

Following “Rather Lie” with Playboy Carti, The Weeknd played “Low Life,” a cover song by the artist Future. If the crowd had taken a moment to rest during the song, they immediately returned to their feet when Future joined him on stage.

Before it was all done, The Weeknd delivered more than 40 songs on stage.

Up next, the tour heads to Orlando on Sunday night.

The “After Hours Til Dawn” tour is rumored to be the final tour that Tesfaye uses the artist name The Weeknd.
