MERIWETHER COUNTY, Ga. — The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has announced the arrest of two men following an investigation into an arson that happened in November.

The investigation began on Nov. 3, 2023, when the Office of Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner asked the GBI to assist with an arson investigation involving a home in Shilo, Ga.
On Friday, the GBI arrested and charged Jimmy Buchanan, 70, of Manchester, and Wallace Copland, 62, both of Manchester, GA, with two counts of arson and one count of conspiracy to commit arson.
The duo was booked into the Harris County Jail.
