Georgia State Patrol said a driver in a Toyota Tacoma truck didn’t stay in her lane and hit a Central EMS ambulance head on.

Three people became trapped and had to be pulled from the vehicles. GSP said the ambulance driver is in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.

Troopers say it appears that the Toyota driver had been drinking before the crash happened. They have not identified the driver or specify the charges she will be facing.

Central EMS released the following statement.

“We can confirm that two Central EMS team members were seriously injured in the crash on October 26 and remain hospitalized. Our focus right now is on supporting them and their families during this difficult time as they focus on recovery.”
