ATLANTA — The Atlanta Police Department is investigating a shooting at the West End Mall.
Officers confirmed someone was shot near Ralph David Abernathy Blvd and Ira Street, and that the victim was alert, conscious, and breathing.
When officers responded at about 2:07 p.m., they found a 23-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound.
Police said the woman was driving when she heard gunfire and realized she had been shot.
Investigators with the aggravated assault unit responded to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
