ATLANTA — Atlanta police said a fatal shooting has been reported Monday at 878 Rock St.
Earlier, police had said officers responded to a person shot at Ashby Circle and Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard.
Officers said they found a man in his 60s shot inside a vehicle with an apparent wound to the back. Medical personnel pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Preliminary information suggests that the victim was making a turn when suddenly an exchange of words between the victim and another driver took place. Police said this exchange likely led to the victim being shot and wrecking his vehicle into a vacant home.
Investigators with the Homicide Unit responded to the scene to investigate.
A blue Kia is listed as a suspect vehicle, police at the scene said.
