ATLANTA — Atlanta police are investigating a shooting just blocks away from State Farm Arena, where the Sweet 16 of the NCAA College Basketball tournament took place on Friday.
The shooting happened around 6:45 p.m. near the intersection of Luckie Street NW and Mills Street NW.
Atlanta police confirmed a 42-year-old man from Charlotte, North Carolina, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.
APD initially reported the man had died, but police said in a news conference late Friday night that doctors were able to revive the man.
