ATLANTA — The Atlanta police department gave an all-clear after many businesses at Atlantic Station were evacuated after receiving a threat by phone.

NewsChopper 2 flew over midtown Atlanta where heavy police could be seen.
Atlanta police said officers began investigating after a phoned-in threat at 261 19th Street NW.
APD said out of an abundance of caution, the area was evacuated, and officers determined nothing hazardous was located.
The scene was cleared just before 7 p.m. on Thursday.
Atlantic Station Property Management sent Channel 2 Action News the following statement:
“APD confirmed the call received was a non-credible threat to Atlantic Station’s entertainment district, allowing restaurants and retailers to reopen for the evening.”
