ATLANTA — Former reality star Todd Chrisley says guards are targeting him each day in the Florida federal prison where he is serving out a 12-year sentence after being found guilty of fraud.

Chrisley’s attorney Jay Surgent told TMZ in the latest case of harassment by the prison guards, they ripped off a MAGA sticker Chrisley had put on a chair in his jail cell.

The attorney said Chrisley sat silent and watched it happen, afraid to say anything in fear of further retaliation.

Surgent told the entertainment news site that other prisoners have stickers on chairs in their cells and Chrisley has been the only one targeted.

He also claims that Chrisley’s cell is “shaken down” on a daily basis.

Chrisley also claims that a guard once poured out a Pepsi on his bed.

Chrisley claims all of the retaliatory acts are because of the bed press the prison is getting from him and other family members speaking out about the conditions he claims he’s living in.

Todd and his wife, Julie, were charged with conspiracy to commit bank fraud, bank fraud, conspiracy to defraud the United States, and tax fraud.

The Chrisleys were initially indicted in August 2019. Prosecutors said the couple submitted fake documents to banks when applying for loans.

It is worth noting that the prison that Todd Chrisley is currently being housed in is set to be demolished.

FPC Pensacola is among several federal facilities to close that are in “significant disrepair,” the Federal Bureau of Prisons announced in December.

Because of that, it is unclear where Chrisley will end up once the prison shuts down.

He is hoping that maybe President Donald Trump could step in before that even happens.

“Todd and his wife would like to be considered for pardon, but it will be up to President Trump to review their cases. Todd has faith he will be given due consideration because he feels that he never received constitutional protections in a fair criminal justice system,” Surgent told TMZ.

Todd Chrisley was reportedly ecstatic when Trump was elected in November.

“Todd is jumping for joy in prison and is so optimistic that he will be able to walk out of there when Trump takes office,” a source told the Daily Mail at the time. “Savannah truly believes that Trump will pardon her parents. Ever since they were convicted, she has spent every waking hour campaigning to free them.”

Savannah Chrisley spoke about her parents’ incarceration at the Republican National Convention last year and has been an outspoken supporter of Trump’s.

She and her brother Grayson were even spotted at Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s Florida residence, shortly after the election.

Channel 2 Action News first started investigating the Chrisleys in 2017, when we learned that Todd Chrisley had likely evaded paying Georgia state income taxes for several years.

Court documents obtained by Channel 2 Action News showed that by 2018, the Chrisleys owed the state nearly $800,000 in liens.

The couple eventually went to trial and a federal jury found them guilty of bank fraud and tax evasion.
