Neighbors say the flames were so intense and spread so quickly, they couldn’t run in to help. Instead, all they could do was watch from the backyard.
“It was just orange, like the whole sky over there was orange and black smoke,” neighbor Savannah Corbitt said. “By the time the first officer got here, it was engulfed already.”
Fire investigators are still looking into what caused the fire.

“I still can’t imagine, I wouldn’t wish that on anybody, it’s so sad,” Corbitt said.
She says embers from the flames started coming over to her own property, so she had to start spraying water to keep her home from catching fire as well.
Neither of the victims’ identities have been released.
