VILLA RICA, Ga. — A man who was previously convicted of child molestation is now facing new child sex crime charges.
Villa Rica police arrested 49-year-old Joseph Vansickle earlier this week and charged him with seven counts of exploitation of children.

Detectives searched his home, car, cell phones and other electronics and found sexually explicit materials involving minors. Investigators do not believe any of the children are local.
While investigators were looking into him, Vansickle was arrested in Coweta County for an unrelated charge that violated his probation.

Vansickle was already listed on the sex offender registry after a conviction in St. Paul, Minn.
In 2007, he was also convicted of two counts of child molestation in Gwinnett County.
Police say they are still investigating and more charges could be filed.
