ATHENS, Ga. — The Athens Clarke County Police have arrested two suspects in the shooting death of a man last year.
Police say 24-year-old Jutaraz Morton, of Winder, and 25-year-old Timia Cobbs, of Athens, were arrested Wednesday on malice murder, felony murder and two counts of aggravated assault charges in the fatal shooting of 25-year-old Nigel Zachariah Turner.

Morton is also charged three counts of possession of a firearm/knife during the commission of “certain felonies.”
Police say on April 17 of last year at approximately 11 p.m. ACCPD responded to a report of a shooting in the 100 block of Huntington Road.
That is when they found Turner dead from a gunshot wound. A second victim who was also shot suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
