Judy Savage, who witnessed the shooting Monday, told Channel 2’s Tom Jones they had been arguing before the gunshots.

“It was four shots, ‘Bam, bam, bam, bam. Yeah, it was four shots,” she said.

It happened in a driveway on Connell Drive. According to witnesses, one man pulled out a gun and fired, killing the other man.

The shooter drove away, prompting a police search that extended into Henry County.

Savage described the chaotic scene as the shooter jumped into his car and sped away. Clayton County police quickly began searching for the suspect, leading them to Henry County.

Lawanda Wiggs recounted seeing dozens of officers pursuing the suspect near Fairview Drive.

She captured video when the suspect and police both ended up in her backyard, where the suspect crashed and then ran away before police eventually captured him.

Savage said the victim’s family arrived where the shooting happened and were visibly emotional. She said she stood and prayed with them.

She added she now plans to move out of her neighborhood.

“It’s gotten worse every day you turn the TV on, something’s done happened,” she said.
