The majority of flights canceled are Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines. The airline says its winter storm waivers will be in effect through Monday.
Delta says it will automatically book customers on its “next best itinerary.” Customers on domestic flight who has a delay of three hours or more and chooses not to fly can get a full refund.
More information can be found on the Refund and Reimbursement section of Delta.com.
Severe Weather Team 2 Chief Meteorologist Brad Nitz warns that much of metro Atlanta and north Georgia is facing hours of accumulating ice.
These conditions are hazardous for travel, including air travel.
If you plan to travel in the next couple of days, prepare for changes to your itinerary.
