FOREST PARK, Ga. — Police say at least two people were shot as a high school graduation was underway at a park in Forest Park.
Police were at the Kiwanis Park at the corner of South Avenue and West Street on Tuesday.
Investigators said a high school graduation was going on when shots started ringing out near the Kiwanis Stadium.
“Unfortunately, that celebration turned tragic with the two victims being shot,” Forest Park Police Chief Brandon Criss said.

One person was shot in the arm, and another victim was grazed.
One father said he was dropping off his kid at soccer practice when he heard the shots.
“I saw two kids walk by my truck and I just hear a shooting. I got down inside my truck, and as soon as I stopped hearing the shots, I ran towards my kids to see if they were OK. Thank God all the kids were good and just scared bad. There was one kid shot, and it was really bad,” the father said.
Police said the victims were taken to a nearby hospital for their injuries.
The chief said officers are looking for two suspects, but did not have a description available.
