Police say two men worked together to break into storage units at a U-Haul moving and storage facility on South Cobb Drive in Smyrna.
“If I put something in a storage unit I would want my stuff secure,” says customer Zamorrow Glispie.
Glispie stopped by to rent a moving truck. She is shocked to learn the storage units were targeted.
“A lot of people have expensive things. They have collectibles. You would want your stuff to be secure,” Glispie said.
According to arrest warrants Channel Two Cobb County Bureau Chief Michelle Newell obtained for Gerrick Webster and Darnell Forte, they are accused of committing the crimes towards the end of 2024 and January of this year.
Police say the duo cut protective wiring to break into multiple storage units, stealing clothes, expensive sneakers, a Georgia identification card, and seven debit cards.
