Police said there was an accident between two tractor-trailers. When the drivers got out of their trucks, a driver in a separate passenger car hit one of them.
He was identified as Terrell Loudermilk, 36, from Chattanooga, Tenn. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the driver did not stop. Based on evidence collected at the scene, they are now searching for a 2019-2022 Chevrolet Silverado truck.
