GORDON COUNTY, Ga. — Three people are dead and two others were sent to the hospital in a crash that left Interstate 75 southbound in Gordon County closed for several hours on Tuesday morning.
Georgia State Patrol says the crash involved six vehicles, three of which are tractor-trailers.
They say a tractor-trailer crashed into a car before crashing into two other tractor-trailers and two other vehicles. A Ford Ranger caught fire.
Those who were killed have not yet been identified.
One right lane of the interstate remains closed.

Triple Team Traffic first reported the crash before 7 a.m. They suggest using Hwy. 41 as an alternate route.

There is no estimated time for the interstate to reopen.
