DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Brookhaven police chased down a man suspected of stealing a cell phone from a woman early Sunday.
According to police, at around 1 a.m., police were investigating a complaint about a theft on the 3300 block of Buford Highway.
When police found the man suspected of stealing the phone, identified as Eduardo A. Vazquez, 29, they say he took off running.
Officers were able to catch Vazquez and when trying to question him, police say he ran from the officers.
Vazquez was caught, arrested, and booked into the DeKalb County Jail.
He will be charged with obstruction and public intoxication.
