DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — The DeKalb County Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a man injured on Covington Drive and multiple businesses and vehicles damaged by bullets.

A Channel 2 Action News photographer was at the scene, where multiple windows on vehicles and at businesses had visible damage from gunfire, including some bullet holes in windows.

According to police, officers were called to the 3400 block of Covington Drive after reports of a person being shot.

When police got to the scene, they found a 24-year-old man who’d been shot.

From their preliminary investigation, DKPD said it appears the victim had been in a dispute before the shooting, and that they knew the suspect accused of shooting them.

Police said he was taken to a nearby hospital by emergency responders with a gunshot wound to his leg.

The victim was treated for a non-life-threatening injury.

Neither the victim nor the suspect of the shooting have been identified and detectives are still investigating the incident.
