DeKalb County Police say multiple people, including one of their officers were hurt in a Saturday morning crash that shut down East Ponce DeLeon Avenue.

Investigators tell Channel 2 that the crash happened just after 7:20 a.m. on East Ponce, between Rays Road and Hambrick Road. They said a driver going eastbound on Ponce tried to pass another driver. Shortly after that, the driver crashed into the police cruiser and the vehicle they were trying to pass.
Police said that two children and two adults along with the officer were injured in the crash and taken to the hospital.

At this time, Police have not identified any of the people involved in the incident and have not yet said whether the driver that allegedly initiated the crash will be facing charges.
