DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Crashes closed lanes of two interstates in metro Atlanta early morning Sunday.

A major tractor-trailer crash has blocked all lanes southbound on I-985 at mile post 10 due to a tractor trailer crash in Hall County, the Georgia Department of Transportation says.

The crash was reported at around 2 a.m. before State Route 347 Friendship Road and reopened as of about 5:30 a.m.

Another crash that closed all lanes of Interstate 285 North in DeKalb County early Sunday morning has since been cleared, the Georgia Department of Transportation says.

Interstate 85 is also experiencing trouble. At around 4 a.m., an overturned vehicle was reported at I-85 northbound past State Road 13/Buford Hwy. GDOT reports that two right lanes are blocked as of 5 a.m.

It is unknown what caused these crashes, but rain is making travel tricky in the metro area.

Channel 2 Action News has reached out for more information about these crashes.
