"It was supposed to be a fun night out with her homegirls, and it just went left," Harmony Haggins, Bell’s cousin, said.

Haggins and other family members told Channel 2’s Michael Doudna that Bell was known for being the life of the party and trying to lift other people up.

“A person that you can go talk to, like a therapist, that was her,” Haggins said.

According to the family, Bell went out with friends to a car meet-up on Tuesday night. However, they say eventually there was an argument followed by a shooting.

“I can do nothing but be hurt, that’s all I can be, and cry,” Haggins said.

DeKalb Police are still investigating what led to the shooting and who pulled the trigger. However, the cost is felt by Bell’s family.

“You see where we are now? We are in the middle of losing a family member who brings joy to her family,” Haggins said.
