FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — A father and daughter are behind bars after deputies said they assaulted a woman and stole her car.

The incident happened on Dec. 11.

According to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, Dep.Burks and Dep. Griffith was notified about a stolen black Dodge Caliber traveling on Highway 9.

Deputies said, a father-daughter duo, identified as Scott Wallis and Britney Brumbelow were the culprits.

The FCSO said after the duo was asked to leave someone’s home, they allegedly assaulted the homeowner, stole her car, and drove away with the homeowner’s gun.

The suspects led deputies on a chase along Matt Highway but quickly surrendered.

Wallis and Brumbelow were arrested and booked into the Forsyth County Jail. The duo were charged with felony theft by receiving stolen property.

“Remember: Forsyth County isn’t Whoville, and we don’t let Grinches steal Christmas—or anything else,” the sheriff’s office said.
