COLUMBUS, Ga. — A high school principal in west Georgia is under investigation, according to the school district.
The Muscogee County School District confirmed to WTVM in Columbus that Hardaway High School Principal Maurdrice McNeill is on administrative leave.

They say McNeill is under investigation because of a misdemeanor criminal trespass charge unrelated to the school.
The principal will remain on leave until the end of the investigation.
WTVM says McNeill was assistant principal at the high school for two years before being promoted to principal for the last three school years.
