GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — An altercation inside of a Gwinnett County gas station landed a man in jail Tuesday evening.
Police say they responded to a reported shooting at 2090 Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road in unincorporated Suwanee. The address corresponds to an Exxon Gas Station.

When police responded, they found a victim with a wound to his head. When asked what happened, the victim told police an unknown man shot him. He was taken to the hospital for treatment for his injury.
As law enforcement officials investigated, they learned the victim had not been shot, but was hit with the gun, causing it to go off, according to video evidence they collected.
The two men were involved in an altercation inside the gas station after they “shoulder checked” one another.

Police identified the suspect as 30-year-old Isaac Hernandez. GCPD with the assistance of the Hall County Sheriff’s Office arrested Hernandez in Gainesville.
He was booked into the Gwinnett County Jail where he was charged with aggravated assault, battery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
