COLUMBUS, Ga. — Police in Columbus, Georgia recently arrested a man after he barricaded himself in an apartment for several hours.
On Friday, Jan. 31, officers responded to the Lofts at Riverwalk apartments and negotiated with Michael D’Astoli, 34, for several hours before he was arrested.
During that time, Columbus police department’s SWAT Team, Special Operations worked with Fort Moore’s Criminal Investigation Division and military police.

Once he was arrested, a search warrant was executed on the apartment where police seized knives, swords, ammunition, a stun gun, computers, and a phone.
D’Astoli is charged with aggravated stalking, harassing communications, and terroristic threats.
