Roswell police responded around 6 a.m. on March 16 to reports of a suspicious person in the area of 100 Creekside Way.
Police said the caller reported that a young girl was seen knocking on car windows and asking for a ride.
When officers arrived, they found the girl and her sister. They learned that the girls had been reported as runaways out of Paulding County several days earlier, police said.
Investigators determined that the two sisters had met several men on Snapchat and eventually met up with one of the men, who drove them to a parking lot in Douglasville, where he abandoned them.

Police say the girls got back on Snapchat and met David Rivera, who arranged an Uber to take them to the Economy Hotel in Roswell with a plan to sexually abuse them.
It’s unclear how long they were there, but police say several adults, including hotel employees, provided the two girls with drugs and alcohol and forced them to have sex with other people, investigators confirmed.
Seiden spoke with Roswell Mayor Kurt Wilson about the investigation and the disturbing allegations against the six suspects.
“In my community, we don’t ignore it, and we’re going to eradicate it,” Wilson said. “If you’re a business and you participated, a real estate owner, and you’re participating in it, we’re going to shut you down.”
Seiden stopped by the Economy Hotel off Old Holcomb Bridge Road and asked to speak with the owners about the allegations.
A front desk employee said no one was available to answer any questions and kicked him off the property.
In an email to Channel 2, the Roswell Police Department issued the following statement:
“The Roswell Police Department urges parents, guardians, and community members to remain vigilant about the dangers of human trafficking and the risks young people face online. Social media platforms like Snapchat can be exploited by predators to target vulnerable youth, often luring them into dangerous situations. We encourage open conversations about online safety, monitoring digital interactions, and teaching children to recognize warning signs of exploitation. By fostering awareness and proactive measures, we can help protect our youth from becoming victims of trafficking and ensure a safer community for all.”
Roswell police said the investigation remains ongoing, and additional arrests and charges are possible.
