All clear at IHOP in Roswell after false alarm bomb threat

Roswell police have given the all-clear at an IHOP restaurant after a bomb threat scare.

Officers and the Cobb County Bomb Squad responded to the Alpharetta Hwy Friday morning.

On Channel 2 Action News This Morning, the IHOP manager told Channel 2’s Darryn Moore that he and his employees evacuated the building.

“I was handing out a to-go order for Uber Eats and the officer ran in the building. He was like we have to evacuate the building. I’m like we have stuff on the grill. He was like get it off, we have to go.”

Police and the bomb squad processed the scene for several hours, focusing on a car parked in the back. Just after 6:30 a.m., they gave the all-clear.
