NORTH FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — Sandy Springs police blocked off a busy intersection Thursday for a shooting investigation involving a police officer.
Video shared with Channel 2 Action News shows a large number of officers at Dunwoody Place and Roswell Road. Police have asked the public to stay clear of the area.
Officers told Channel 2’s Bryan Mims that they responded to an assault call around 10:30 a.m. As they were talking to a possible suspect, police said the man pulled out a weapon and was shot.
Paramedics took the suspect to the hospital, but have not released his condition. No officers were hurt.
