GORDON COUNTY, Ga. — Deputies in north Georgia are searching for a man after the home they were called to for a shooting caught fire.
Investigators say they were called to a home on James Street in Gordon County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday for a person shot. When they got there, the home was on fire.

Firefighters spent the next several hours battling the house fire.
After the home burned to the ground, deputies found a body inside. That person’s identity has not yet been released.
Gordon County detectives say they’re searching for 46-year-old Christopher Lee Dixon in connection to the case.

They say he is armed, dangerous and should be considered a flight risk.
Anyone who knows where he is or sees him should call 911.
