A woman said her trip to a med spa turned into a nightmare.
She says she trusted a doctor in Texas to perform cosmetic procedures on her face at Eden Med Spa because of the woman’s impressive medical credentials.

But Tatiana Takim did not know the so-called “dancing doctor” had a suspended medical license under a different name in Georgia.
Channel 2 Consumer Investigator Justin Gray first exposed Dr. Wendill Boutte’s new identity last fall.
We never got to talk to patients of the woman calling herself Dr. Catherine Davis because she locked up her Texas med spa for days once she was confronted with allegations of violating laws.
It wasn’t until months after Channel 2’s story aired that some of those people said they finally learned about Davis’ troubled past under another name.
“She was like, ‘Oh s---! Oh s---!’” Takim said. “That’s what her exact words were, which freaked me out because I’m like, ‘Oh my god, what happened?’”
Takim says that’s what Dr. Catherine Davis shouted while she was in the chair for her cosmetic procedure in Austin.
“I was so disoriented, couldn’t stop crying,” she said. “My face was like this, I looked like an ogre.”
Channel 2 Action News viewers know Catherine Davis is really Windell Boutte, the so-called “dancing doctor,” and she is no longer allowed to call herself doctor or MD.
Her Georgia medical license is still suspended after 28 different medical malpractice settlements.
One of the patients was O.J. Lybert’s mother, Isilma Cornelius. She was about to be married and earn her PhD in nursing when a cosmetic surgery by Boutte went very wrong.
Cornelious suffered permanent brain damage.
“In my 20s, I was now the parent,” Lybert said.
It was the operating table videos Boutte once posted to social media that got viral attention after Channel 2’s 2018 investigation.
And in a 2024 undercover investigation, we showed you how Boutte was dancing again, this time with needles in social media ads. She was allegedly violating Texas law by owning the med spa without a Texas medical license.
Takim, an esthetician herself, knew none of that when she found Davis’ impressive online bio.
Catherine Davis is Boutte’s middle and maiden names.
“What drew me to them is that Catherine Davis was listed as a doctor who worked with plastic surgeons and at UCLA,” Takim said.
She says after the threading procedure Davis performed caused jaw problems and scarring, she kept going back to Davis. She paid more money to get it fixed – over $7,000.
“All the emotions start going, you’re sad, you feel awful, you were trying to do something to look better, and now you end up looking worse,” she said.
Takim still did not know about Davis’ history and our reporting until recently.
“I was disgusted,” she said. “I was sick to my stomach, couldn’t believe this woman touched my face.”
Gray emailed Boutte for comment, and she responded Wednesday.
“I suggest that if you are actually interested in accurate reporting, you should acquire all actual medical records of this patient from Eden Medical Spa,” Boutte wrote.
Since Channel 2’s original investigation, Davis left Eden, and it changed its name. Customers now say there is a sign on the door from the landlord locking out the spa for unpaid rent, so it has apparently shut down.
Another esthetician confirms she has been working with Takim to repair the damage from the threading procedure.
