This came after President Donald Trump signed a bill renaming the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America.

Carter’s bill is named the “Red, White, and Blueland Act of 2025.”

If approved, the bill says all federal documents and maps would have to be updated to reflect the name change within 180 days.
