SOUTH FULTON, Ga. — South Fulton police are investigating after a baby was shot at an apartment complex.

Channel 2 Action News This Morning first reported on this breaking news Friday as police blocked off the entrance to the Gardens at Camp Creek Apartments on Washington Road.
Channel 2’s Steve Gehlbach spotted at least 33 evidence markers along with shell casings scattered near the entrance. Officers also focused the investigation on a car a few miles down the road.

Police say they were first called out to the apartments around 3 a.m. Investigators later confirmed that a 1-year-old boy was shot in the leg and taken to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
Police detained two people for questioning, but have not said if they are being considered suspects in the shooting.
