All clear after bomb threat investigation shut down streets around State Capitol

Police shut down streets near the Georgia State Capitol for a bomb threat investigation on Tuesday.

Channel 2’s Steve Gehlbach spotted multiple Capitol Police and Atlanta Police patrol cars during Channel 2 Action News This Morning.

A Capitol Police officer told Gehlbach that they received a call from Covington Police about a potential bomb threat.

Investigators gave the all clear around 5 a.m.

The investigation temporarily shut down MLK Jr. Drive, Jesse Hill Jr. Drive and Capitol Ave. are blocked off near the connector.
