Tuesday’s high temperature will be hot and humid again – low to mid 90s across north Georgia except in the mountains.
A heat advisory has been issued from noon until 8 p.m. for areas manly south and east of metro Atlanta.
Atlanta’s high will be 94, about four degrees above average. Factoring in humidity, heat indexes will be in the upper 90s across most of the metro area.
It will feel like triple digits in Athens and even hotter in Eatonton at 104.
There was lots of lightning and heavy rain from a thunderstorm Monday afternoon over Atlanta.

Severe Weather Team 2 Chief Meteorologist Brad Nitz warned that when over 1 inch of rain falls quickly in urban areas, it can lead to rising water and flooded roads, so drive carefully.
A ground stop was temporarily issued at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport as the storm moved through.
