Flood watch canceled, cooler temperatures ahead

The flood watch has been canceled following the storm system that moved through the area.

Temperatures are cooling off, with a freeze watch ahead on Tuesday night for parts of north and northwest Georgia.

The Channel 2 Action News viewing area saw a line of severe storms move through Sunday into Monday morning.

Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologists Brian Monahan and Eboni Deon tracked a tornado warning for multiple counties Monday morning.

That includes a radar-confirmed tornado that crossed over Interstate 75 in Henry County. There were also several severe thunderstorm warnings across the south and east metro.

Here’s what to else know for Monday.

  • An additional 1-2″ of rain is possible today, especially along and south/east of I-85
  • Clearing sky overnight and cool tomorrow with highs in the low 60s
  • Widespread lows in the 30s Wednesday morning; areas of frost possible
