Flood watch extended as showers, potential for storms continue

We are continuing to stay on the damp side thanks to moisture coming in from the Gulf, and much of north Georgia remains under a flood watch.

The National Weather Service extended the flood watch for several counties through 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Eboni Deon says we will see more scattered rain, with the possibility of storms, even as we head into the day Wednesday.

Later in the week, our chances of rain are going to come down, and we will start to get some drier air moving in.

That’s going to lead to more breaks in the clouds and a little more sunshine. But at least for today, temperatures are running on the cool side, and even when we’re not dealing with the rain, we will still have a good bit of cloud cover.

Overnight, low temperatures will be down into the mid and upper 60s.
