A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued in Meriwether and Troup counties until 6:45 p.m.
Another Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued in Butts, Henry, Jasper and Newton counties until 6:30 p.m.

We are going to see our rain chances going way up this afternoon, with a lot of areas in north Georgia getting showers and storms into late tonight.
We will still have a chance of a few storms around Wednesday, thanks to a cold front moving through.
The time with the greatest threat of strong and severe storms with be through this evening and early tonight, before things settle down.
As we head toward the holiday weekend, we will see some drier air moving in right on time for the Fourth of July holiday.
It will be a lot hotter, though. On Friday we are going up to a high of 93 degrees, and we will keep temperatures in the lower-to-mid 90s Saturday and Sunday.
